I am a Phoenix-based photographer, largely self-taught, with formal instruction in photography at the Kansas City Art Institute, Scottsdale Community College and workshops with various noted photographers. I was a founding member of Imageworks, a large format fine art photography group in the Phoenix area, and have exhibited in Phoenix, Tucson, Scottsdale and Wickenburg AZ and Santa Fe NM. I have largely abandoned my 4”x5” film camera in favor of a much more travel-friendly digital SLR. I embraced the use of digital tools to take my representational photographs to another, more abstract, level of artistry and have a huge amount of fun doing it. This is most evident in the “Not Found in Nature”, "Fractal Composites", "The View Beyond" and "Mandalas and Medallions" portfolios. Other portfolios show my interest in old buildings, travel and abstract design.
